Hey, Tammi fans! My name is beauquizzyness (AKA Beau). I am T&M fan
for life. I have loved them since I was 6 years old (I am in my 30s
right now). My favorite T&M songs are "Ain't No Mountain High
Enough," "Your Precious Love," "Memory Chest," "Little Ole' Boy/Little
Ole' Girl," etc. I have a couple of observations/questions.
Do you think M & T were having an affair? I heard on one of the songs
(previously unreleased)

) "Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing," which was ironically released
after both passed away, (3:30) Marvin says, "Tammi I love you, and I
am so glad (baby) we got the real thing." Tammi says, "Baby, I know
you know that I know that you love me…." Then Marvin says, "We got
it, baby we got it."
IMHO, I would not find this out of the ordinary, because they toured
together, had very turbulent and abusive relationships with their
"real life partners." And, after Tammi died, Marvin was in TWO YEARS
ISOLATION from touring! Soon after, he started his crack/depression
habit….Wow! If Marvin admitted that he had an affair with Tammi, he
could have lost his job and career, because he is bro-in-law to Gordy.
So, I guess he took the safe road. And, if there were any witnesses,
both of them could have paid the witnesses off.
IMHO, if Marvin decided to divorce ~and hopefully marry Tammi~, he
would have lost his job at Motown and fame as a "clean" artist. But,
Tammi was engaged to a doctor at that time (?).
It was a "Sad Wedding" (literally).
Also, does anyone have any suggestions on books of Marvin and Tammi?
